where can i get a pet monkey and a pet sloth?
when i grow up i want a monkey and a pet sloth is do you know where i could get them?
You really should think twice about that. Monkeys are a lot of work and are potentially dangerous. There is no such thing as a monkey who does not bite or scratch! Trust me, they all do! This is just typical, normal behavior for a monkey. You have to respect the fact that they are wild animals, not humans. They will act like wild animals! It takes years of research AND experience before you can properly take care of a monkey. Plus, the laws are incredibly strict. You have to check with your state, your county, and your community (if you live in one). And then you will probably have to get a permit, which is a massive headache, a lot of work, and can be costly. Yes, there are legit monkey breeders in the US, but none of them are cheap. Monkeys can cost up to $15,000. (Apes cost a lot more!) They are also companion animals and should be in at least a pair. So, that is double the money! Monkeys can also live up to 50 years in captivity. Are you ready to make that kind of commitment? Once you have a monkey you are pretty much bound to it for life. You should really think about this whole wanting to get a monkey thing. Unless you willing to dedicate your entire life to it's wellbeing AND you are willing to get bit and scratched, you shouldn't get one.
