What is the average cost per month of owning a large dog?
Not anything special, but for regular maintenance & grooming, licenses, regular vet visits, spading/neutering, food, snacks, toys, vitamins, etc.
What would be the cost of owning a large dog (just an estimate per month?)

Dogs are a lot more expensive than people generally take into account. Owning a dog of any kind isn't cheap.
So, it's really better to over-estimate, than to under-estimate and end up needing money.
One of the most important things to keep in mind is:
Unexpected veterinary bills that come with owning a pet.
Things happen and it's best to be absolutely prepared for them.
In that instance:
You should find out beforehand if your local veterinarians will:
A) Work out payment plans for their clients
B) Look into pet insurance (thoroughly) and see if any work
C) Have a stash of 'emergency' money in a bank
D) If C is unavailable: A credit card
The reason for this is simple: These unexpected costs can range anywhere from $100-$5,000 in price.
Food expenses can range from anywhere from $20-60 a mo. (it really depends on the brand you buy, the amount of food you buy, and the quantity/quality).
Toys: You're probably going to spend anywhere from $20-100 on toys over a year (it's really up to you, but lots of chew toys/balls etc.. is nice to have)
Then take into account:
- Grooming supplies, veterinary check-ups (general check-ups vary: You really have to call your local vets on this one, but emergencies aside: still a few hundred bucks),
general care needs.
Usually you end up spending about $500+ a year.
I wish I could give you an exact estimate: But it's really dependant on what/where you buy things, your local veterinarians, and the cost of living in your area.
